BRAND NEW
SOLO EXHIBITIONS FOR 2010
Two
new solo exhibitions are running concurrently from 18th September - 16th October 2010. Both exhibitions are located at the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Union St. Burton
upon Trent.
Unobtainable Landscapes (Brewhouse Bar & Bistro Area) 18th Sept - 16 Oct 2010
Unobtainable Landscapes is a continuation of the expressive landscape paintings started in the spring of 2009. The show will contain new and recent paintings exploring textures, colours and forms that evoke desolate and remote places.
|
Polaroids (Brewhouse Open Gallery) 18th Sept - 16 Oct 2010
Polaroids brings together the artist's love of this idiosyncratic medium that often informs the development of the painting work. The show will consist of a selection of rarely seen experimental images that support the ideas inherent amongst the artist's ongoing fine art practice. |
| These exhibitions have been kindly sponsored by The Chartwell Practice - Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors of Burton on Trent. |
 |
An opening night preview event will be held on Saturday 18th September between 5pm - 7pm. This is a non-ticket free event and everyone is welcome. Internationally renowned guitarist Blue Yates will be giving an exclusive live performance at this event. For more information please email hq@alistairkennedy.co.uk

LONDON
UNDERGROUND EXHIBITION JULY 2009

Two
images from the vicious bulwark exhibition have been selected for
display on two separate London Underground stations. The Exhibition,
called Art Below, gives selected artists, from all over the world,
a chance to show their work to thousands of commuters daily. The
two works will be situated at Baker Street Station (Metropolitan
Line, Platform 1) and Paddington Station (District Line, Platform
1 Westbound). The Exhibition runs from 29th June – 17th July
2009. Click here for BBC
Radio Derby Interview
A
third image (East Coker) pictured here in the centre, would also
have been part of the exhibition had Transport for London not deemed
it 'unsuitable for display'. Their reason for this being that the
red paint splatter on the bottom left of the image looks a little
too like graffiti!?
